The purpose of these sessions is to reduce discomfort, improve mobility and aid in return to your normal daily activities. These sessions are not meant to treat an injury but to restore your body after an event that may have caused pain, stiffness, or soreness. Pain in muscles, tendons, or joints can be very distracting and limit your daily life or fitness routine. If an active lifestyle is your priority and pain or stiffness is keeping you from your daily movement or goals, then restorative treatment is for you. Restoration and recovery sessions do not require a referral from your doctor and are not covered by insurance.
These sessions can include any of the following treatments.
Stretching
Assisted or passive stretching is different from stretching at home. We create a personalized program performed by one of our highly skilled clinicians. Using our knowledge of the body and your input on muscle soreness or tightness that you are feeling, our clinicians will help you move efficiently and effortlessly and regain your flexibility. Simply put, we do all the work, you get all the benefits.
Cupping
Cupping therapy is a treatment where a practitioner places special cups on a person's skin that creates suction to facilitate healing. It has been shown to be an effective treatment for both acute and chronic pain conditions. It is an adjunct treatment for improving sore muscles, releasing spasms, and improving function.
Kinesiology Taping (KT)
KT is designed to provide drug-free pain relief and flexible support to help keep you active. KT is an elastic style tape that is lightweight and can provide support to help relax muscles and relieve tension on joints, tendons, and ligaments. This is a durable fabric tape with powerful adhesive and elasticity that you can wear in comfort for days at a time, through showers and sweat alike.
Massage
Massage therapy is the practice of kneading or manipulating a person’s muscles and other soft tissue to improve their wellbeing or health. It is a form of manual therapy that includes holding, moving, and applying pressure to the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia. It has many benefits including relaxation, stress reduction and increased blood flow. The use of massage therapy guns or devices is also a part of this treatment.
